La asociación de Fútbol Amateur de Nueva Imperial terminó su primera competencia de la temporada 2019 en la categoría senior.
El deportivo Dante saltó a la cancha del estadio El Alto de esta comuna con la copa que los acreditaba como los legítimos campeones en su categoría: llegó con 24 puntos, posición insuperable para el que lo escoltaba en el segundo lugar que además tenía 18 unidades o bien el tercer lugar que tenía 15.
Con este panorama el Dante se midió con el Deportivo Bernardo O’Higgins, que nada tenía que hacer. Los albiverdes, oriundos del barrio Ultra Cholchol, salieron al terreno de juego solo por cumplir con el reglamento, en donde el Dante les ganó a los representantes del prócer de la patria al convertirle 8 dianas por 0.
Otros resultados y reconocimientos
El Deportivo Escuela Industrial llegó con 18 unidades y superó 3 x 2 al deportivo Arturo Prat, y de fondo el deportivo San Vicente superó 2 a 1 al deportivo Juvenil Bautistas.
El primer lugar y campeón fue el Deportivo Dante. La segunda ubicación quedó en poder del Deportivo Escuela Industrial y en la tercera quedó para el deportivo San Vicente.
En la ceremonia de entrega de copas y medallas a los equipos que obtuvieron el primer, segundo y tercer lugar hubo reconocimientos individuales. El arquero menos batido fue Manuel Maturana y al goleador del campeonato Ronald Ortiz (ambos del Dante). Finalmente, el jugador destacado de la competencia fue Patricio Toledo del Deportivo Escuela Industrial.
